Tint: | The Cuvée Prestige Red 2004 is deep ruby colored, showing good visual intensity with vivid glints of purple-violet. The wine is bright, limpid and displays very fine concentration in the glass. |
Catch: | The nose is ripe and dense. You'll detect inviting notes of blackcurrants and blackberries. A hint of cachou lends freshness. With aeration the wine reveals an even greater blended aspect, punctuated by notes of pepper, spices and menthol. |
Taste: | On the palate the wine is fat and round in attack, underpinned by flavors of ripe dark berries. Licorice-flavored acidity confers freshness in mid-palate. The tannins are rich but are elegant, giving the wine smoothness. Overall, the wine has good concentration and great length. |
