85% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. Ausbau: 14 Monate zu 50 % in neuen Barriques und zu 50 % in einjährigen Barriques aus französischer Eiche. Château Faugères besitzt seit 2009 die Zertifizierung für umweltgerechten Weinbau gemäss Norm ISO 14001.
Ein ganz toller Bordeaux zu einem vernünftigen Preis. Am besten von 2015-21.
Passt zu vielen Fleischgerichten, vor allem: Wild, Lamm, Rind wie auch Terrinen und Pasteten.
Parker: This beautiful wine is consistently well-made and is again a star in 2012. Dense ruby/purple with notes of blackcurrants, blackberry and licorice, the wine is medium to full-bodied and displays moderate but ripe, integrated tannin and a judicious use of toasty oak. This beautifully textured, heady St.-Emilion should drink well for 10-15 years.
